I've been up to quite a bit lately, numerous Dynamis runs, HNMs and leveling some other jobs. It's been again awhile since I've posted and I'm gonna try and keep this post as limited as possible. Have a gander at what I've been up to in my FFXI life for awhile :) Quite a few pictures, so if you're on 56k....I'm sorry. :D
Fafnir Crazy!
Our LS has been camping Fafnir quite a bit the past week or so. The first time we set out to camp him, we easily got claim thanks to our RDM/WAR Toyomoyo. He shortly died there after =P. The fight started out rough as we only had a few people there and he had popped on the first window. But we managed to hold him for quite a bit until our DDs showed up. From there on, the fight was cake. But then...when Fafnir was at about 10%...the mass DC happened, at least 8 of our people DCed and when we came back, we found that people had died, and we shortly died thereafter...and wiped. There was another linkshell there, Ilterendi, that was watching us fight. We had all HPed hoping they would understand and let us continue to try and finish him off. Wrong. They took over and gave him hell. But what are you going to do ya know? :P Sometimes I think SE really hates us. :o Here's some pictures from Faffy camp, Day 1.

After our loss on Fafnir the day before, we tried again the next day. Obviously, all pissed off out of our minds, because SE fucked us in the ass again, we were all on our toes. We knew we could do this one since we had come so close on the last one before the DC-ga. Everyone gathered together and we made our PTs and waited for pop. It popped, and Damned voked it and got us claim. Things were going much smoother than last time near the beginning. Then at about 60%, our Samurai was going to skillchain with our WAR and hit a targetnpc voke macro. I won't say her name, to save the embarassment. She voked a Damselfly, linked a whole bunch, and caused us to wipe. We got pissed off out of our minds. She dropped her pearl, and threatened to sell all her stuff and quit. At the time, we didn't care. Then the Linkshell Silverstar pulled Fafnir, and continued the fight.

Dynamis-Beaucedine
All of us still pissed off about what happened at Fafnir earlier in the day, we still went on to do Dynamis-Beaucedine. Since a lot of us were pissed beyond belief, we only had around 26 people show for Beauc. So we just did a farm run and got the people new to Dynamis-Beaucedine (including myself) familiar with the landscape and pulling order. This turned out to be my favorite Dynamis I've done so far. Lots of room to work with and the overall layout is awesome. We got 3 pieces of AF that day. We first got Abyss Cuirass, Congratulations to Forgottenmoon on that. The next piece we got was Summoner's Doublet, Congratulations to Hahele on that. And the last and final piece we got was Sorcerer's Coat, Congratulations to Etalis on that :) Some of the NMs there have really funny names, one of the ones I noticed was like Taruroaster or something lol, I couldn't stop laughing after reading that. His name did fit his actions well though. :P

Fafnir Camp......Day 3
After our 2 losses at Fafnir, and still pretty upset at both of them we still set out to camp again. Though still mad, we kept positive that we would win this fight for sure. Gathered up everyone and waited for 3rd window to come by and Nidhogg pops. Damned claims him with his stellar skills yet again. We freak the fuck out and Focus beyond belief to get this guy down, and down fast. The fight couldn't have gone more smoother. The tank Party was set up perfect, and the other 2 parties were perfect as well. We tried to come up with a Skillchain, but couldn't think of one..orz. Keeping stoneskin up at all times, the mages barely take any damage. And the tanks didn't drop down once. 33 minutes later...we win. His last 2% was disgusting though, he spams Hurricane Wing like nothing. Here are our drops that we got:

This was our first time claiming Nidhogg and we completely raped him to death in 33 minutes, not too bad for first time is it? :P HUGE Congrats to Thestrida on his pretty new Koenig Cuirass. That makes him the 4th NA on Diabolos to have one. :) We will continue to keep killing Nidhogg and the other Kings and improve our time kill by kill. We're also shooting to be first NA on our server to obtain Earthen Abjuration:Body, wish us luck. :) This kill REALLY made up for the other 2 losses on Fafnir, we couldn't be more happy. Good job Mercury, let's continue to keep up our stellar performance.

Omg! I'm updating! Lots have been going on in the past month or two that I havn't posted, but I'll only share a few things. As right now I'm trying to find some good pictures of stuff I've been doing. I kinda quit in Aprilish until I get out of school. I need to keep up my grades with these few days I have left =P Only...4 more days? Something like that. Anyways, here! Have fun with my ...crap! =) I know I did.
First off: Dynamis-Bastok!
I had recently got invited to start doing Dynamis with Mercury. We created a community shell called RELAXFOOLS since we all need to be reminded to be relaxed when we do this stuff, we just look at our LS name. =P Yes Bastok, how I loathe thee, it's bad enough when I have to go there to goldsmith, but fighting stuff there?! ew! I absolutley hate Bastok. Anyways, for some stupid reason, our first run went horribly wrong on the Mega Boss. But we came back a few days later with a nice victory. Though none of my AF dropped (RDM fools) we did manage to get Saotome Kote and Monster Jackcoat. Congratulations to Sugious on the gloves and to whoever the hell got the Jackcoat(it was a free lot since no BST were around, I almost won the lot too ; ;).

Second off: Dynamis-San'doria!
This was by far the coolest Dynamis I have done so far (I'm sure that will change when I get to Beaucedine or Xarcabard =P). First time extension NM was fun too, ignoring the fact he charmed about 10 people and they all killed me -_-; But I still thought it was funny afterwards, I think I got some money out of this one, but not much since my lots suck big donkey-nuts. We got Bard's Roundlet Congratulations to Waelyn on that (sorry if I spelt your name wrong >.>) and we also got an Assasin's Vest Congratulations to Furburglar on that too. ^^ This was also by far the easiest Dynamis I've done so far too, save Jeuno =P.

Third off: Dynamis-Windurst!
This one was...ugh -_- I got really pissed off in this one. We were doing EXCELLENT! Victory seemed just in our grasps, but never say that until you've actually HAVE won right? Right. -_- Before I bitch, we had Seraphinx(again spelling is probably wrong)'s brother take over for him because he had to go jet somewhere. This is fine with us we decided, he plays the game anyways, he should have common sense right? Wrong. We pull up near Heaven's Tower a few SMN's, which was easily kept under control. I slept most of the avatars and made sure they wouldn't wake up. We kept telling Sera's brother "Don't shoot the slept ones!" Did he listen? No. He shot Levithian, he did Tidal Wave, almost all of us bite the dust. He gets a D2 straight back to Jeuno after we get up and recovered. We still had plenty of time left to get this Dynamis done. But we were pulling the trigger NM for the Mega Boss, and lol, that messed us up bad. Someone aggroed a bunch of Vanguards and Statues and we have this HUGE ASS train, I'm talking BIGGGG. Anyways, we all die, and cry about it. But we did get some AF drops ^^. We got Warrior's Mask Congratulations to Shoryuken on that, for making his second set of AFv2 that he will be working on (his first is PLD). We also got Koga Hatsuburi Congratulations to Princessyee on that as well. ^^

Fourth on today's agenda: Dynamis-Jeuno!
Some people needed this one still since a bunch of us had just joined Mercury in doing their weekly Dynamis. Not too many people showed up for this one, about 23 or so I believe. And most of them not from Mercury itself. Anyways, this one was nice and easy. But OMG, my lots sucked so much ass on this run. I was rolling 3's and 8's like nothing on the money. -_- But my Duelist's Tights dropped on that run! Did I win the lot? No! Of course not! You should know better than that by now sill! ;) This was a nice smooth run like I said before. We ended up killing the Mega Boss with plenty of time left to farm for more AF. But of course we pulled near the palace so farming would be impossbile with all the re-pops in front of us. Some THF decided to have fun and train them all out =P I accidentally got too close and trained them to the palace >.> Luckily everyone dropped their Hourglass though so not many people died. But Congrats out to Koanyan for winning the lots on the beatiful, sexy Duelist's Tights. Oh yeah, Vermin thought I was hacking my lots because I rolled a few 900+ lol, I proved him wrong.

The Elvaan Trio!
That's right ladies and gentlemen! Three Bards, shunned by others. Laughed at whenever they try to sing. Made fun of because of the clothes they wear, have joined forces to bring you the hip new band in Vana'Diel! The Elvaan Trio! The members consist of Benjix, Gosai, Faylon. We do concerts for charity, and donations as well. Here's a few concerts we've played. Please don't storm the stage if you ever do see us play live. We love the groupies and all, but please, show some class~!
Beastmaster Fun!
That's right, I have decided to switch over to BST for awhile (probably level 60-70) once I make my triumphent return back to FFXI. Me and Midawin are going to level on our own to 20-35 (probably 35, most of you should know why ;) But we'll still be leveling in the same zone next to eachother, just not duoing. o_O We tried it out a few times, and I think we're starting to get the hang of it. Beastmaster is a really nice and fun job, solo or duo, or even full BST PTs at higher levels! *imagines killing Manticores in Cape Terrigan*. I think this is a nice job because it really takes a true player to get this shit down right. Here's a picture of a not so good BST attempt =P
Well, that's it for now folks! I'll probably just start doing mass updates like this when I get back in the game. It's easier on me...kinda. o_O See ya around~

Not much went on today, but I realized I had a Tuning Fork of Wind that I've had for ages and havn't used yet. So I asked LS if anyone wanted to come and help beat Garuda Prime with me. Quendi, after me saying /point Quendi, came along and helped me ^^. The two of us duoed Garuda like it was nothing. But of course Q did all the work. I just did the usual Refresh and Nuke after Q Diamond Dusted. So that fight lasted about 26 minutes. Q was about to pop off a third Diamond Dust to finish off Garuda but Astral Flow wore off. So he just had Carby whip the rest of Garuda's life. Thanks again Q~! ^^ I owe ya~!

I have NOT posted here in awhile! I'm sorry >.> I've just been mondo busy with FFXI and scarcley have time to update anymore, but not to worry, I'll get back up on the updates ASAP. Last weekend we attempted to try out Monarch Linn, but failed to do so. Our PT set up was horrible lol, we had RDM.RNG.RNG.NIN.PLD.BLM ...dont have an RDM kite ^^ So for our next try we're going to have the set up as, RNG.RNG.NIN.NIN.PLD.SMN, things will go MUCH more smoothly, and as of now i'm working on getting my RNG up in the higher levels for CoP. So that means I need to get 40 soon, and 60 faster. ^^ But I have found out how godly Ranger is! And since SP has split up, I'll have more time to level Ranger and not worry about RDM as much...Here's a few screens from Monarch...both the CS, I didn't have enough time to capture some action shots, but I will for our next try.
Oh,and I'm also 1/5 on my Moldative Earring now ^^ Took awhile but I finally got it and am rather happy with it. Thanks a bunch to everyone who helped me all those times to get it~ |

Today Kaden slapped together an alliance and we went to go kill shit in Phomunia Adequets to get our subligars and finish up those who needed to fight the NM for the mission. We hunted subligars for about, oh 5 hours. We ended up with about 10 drops in that 5 hours. Which is horrible if you didn't already know, that has to be the worst luck EVER lol...There has to be something wrong..Kaden's gonna bitch to a GM for us lol. But all in all it was pretty fun actually. First drop we had was a Gemini, but no one really needed it so we just did a free lot and it went to Anslem. Then a Libra Subligar dropped, I was nice enough to let our Bard to the lot on it, thinking more would drop anyways. Boy was I wrong lol. But Congrats to Carn on his new JSE, only 10 levels until you can wear it! We got several other subligar drops too, many Gemini and Capricous, the Capricous went to Bogar and Felkion. We also got a few Aquarius, but no one needed those. We also got 4 ingots of some kinda, clocking in about 120k each. Grats to: Voyaje, Bogar, Anslem and Remington on those drops too. I have yet to find some more ingots for myself or JSE lol. But my time will come soon I'm sure. ^^ Also, when we were down there an NM Bat popped, Tres Duendes, we decided to give it a shot because we were waiting for a PT of 4 Fomors to pop so we could kill them and HOPEFULLY get subligars (/laugh) It dropped some kind of claws that once again no body really needed, so we gave them to Anslem I believe.
Not too many action shots this round =\ I was paying attention to the fun, but next time we go i'll get more action shots of us taking down Fomors. Also look forward to seeing our drops from NMs and what not now too.

2 days ago I got a tell from Paladios saying "Get your ass to Onzozo so we can get your moldative earring" I said okay cool. So I headed down there and we waited for about 20 minutes and Mystic popped, Kosh pulled it for us and turned out to bea fun fight. No drop though >.> So then we decided to go camp Ose, because he was about to pop in 30-40 minutes. We waited and Ose popped, we were the only ones camping so we of course got him. Lazarus was tanking it with his NIN, which was kind of stupid because we had 2BLM and 2RDM. So after Laz obviously bit the dust, we just kited Ose..much easier then having to worry about Lazarus dying. But alas no drop -_-; I sure hope this goes better next time.

Last night we decided to finally go and get Keladry and Salem's BLM AF3~ Hobo Hat. We got an alliance formed and we went into Toraimai Canal to find two ???s. We found the first one okay and the two BLM did what they had to do then Bogar took us to a safe spot where we wouldnt get aggro so him and Cask could go find the second ???. Bad idea Bogar. He ended up going down some Hell Tunnel and Cask and him both died. So Harlie had to go and find them by herself and Raise II them. Then genious Kaden decided now would be a good time to look up the pos on his other PC. And guess where it was? ...Right above us! So we got to the second ??? whipped out a scorp and some liches. Then spawned the Sludge thing...easy fight. Anyways, Congratulations you two on your new hats!
Today our SP leveled few about 3 hours and got 15k+ exp, I love my static :) Anyways, after we did that Bogar, Me, Fur, and Voy all decided to do Shiva Prime, we picked up another BLM and a WHM we knew and head out to Fei'Yin to go to Cloister of Frost, that was pretty easy to get to in itself. So we entered the arena and started off pretty good, then one of the BLM got aggro and wouldnt stop casting to let Fur get hate so he died and I laughed. But before that even Voy decided to voke it because the BLM got hate and Voy lasted about 5 seconds. So 2 dead, and 4 people left, Me, Fur, Bogar and Harlie. Shiva broke out her two hour and did about 70ish to Fur and didnt even come in tact with me or bogar or harlie. Then Bogar went all out crazy on his nukes and kicked the tramp's ass. I picked a pact with Shiva and Bogar got the Ice Ring...dunno what the others did, hehe.

Wow I havnt updated in awhile lol ^^ Well not much has gone on since I got back, I got 60, Camped Ose for LS member, did Genkai 3, Visited Hall of Gods, got invited to an HNM LS when I turn near 70, and ..I think that's it. Pictures are being gay for some reason...so I'll leave you with your imagination.
So there we were waiting for Ose to pop, then look at that a Manticore NM Pops and Poisoned tries to take it down, the fail of course and one of the person's runs it to the zone...didnt see that person or the NM after that happened. Then there we are still waiting and there Ose pops, "GET HIM!" we say, but of course another RDM gets him and proceedes to solo him, Sleep II, Thunder III, Refresh, Blink. Man, he did good. AND to add insult to injury he gets the drop. So later on some more LS members tried to get him and they succeeded, having the BLM die twice, thank god for Raise III. Won't the LS member be happy when she gets back from vacation and sees that on her body.
I was playing around in Sanctuary of Zi'Tah and made my way to Ro'Maeve for some reason..I played around in there, and by play I mean try not and get aggro from casting Invis and Sneak. I walked up to the enterance of Hall of the Gods, beatiful I think to myself. I walk in and /kneel in front of Altana and know sometime soon i'll be visiting her again soon. For I will do Gods soon..
Yeah, that was pretty boring o_O Point and laugh as you please. |

Yar..My PC has been screwed up for a few days =\ Needless to say, havn't been on XI for awhile...heh. At least it isnt' a major problem, it's only my Harddrive. So I should be getting a new one sooner or later (hopefully this weekend). So yea, no furthur updates until I get XI back up and running.

| AF Glory~ |

Today, SP LS was set up to do RDM AF3 and WHM AF3. But the WHM that needed AF3 didn't have their AF2 yet, so we went ahead and just did RDM AF3. I thought it was rather fun, killed Miser Murphey twice and killed that statue in Garlaige Citadel twice. In Garlaige Citadel the first try, the statue did an AoE and whiped out 5 of our mages, I was sitting in my chair laughing my ass off...lol. The second time we did it we had no deaths at all since Duolc told us where we should stand to NOT die. All in all it was pretty easy.
After we finished that, Bogar /telled me and we went to get his AF3 for his Summoner since we had nothing better to do, we were going to do Garuda Prime, but Bogar didn't have his fork or something. But the AF3 fight was (easy prey) with our NIN tank.
After we finished up all the AFs, I went to go lvl WHM for a little bit then went to lvling SMN. My god I love that job, that might be my next main. ^^ |

Like I kept saying, we finally did SL today, rather easy. Just getting there was the kinda hard part, but nothing we couldn't do. Everything went good on the first form, then Harlie and Kaden died (hell yes >.>) I think me and Harlie were the only 56s there, she died, but I didn't. And Bogar totally owned SL on his final form. So after I went to windurst and got my rank and 20k, I went down to Norg to do some ZM cutscenes. I think once we all hit 68 or so, Bogar is going to take us to get (sky) He fought Genbu the same day, but got shit drops. But yes, I'm getting closer and closer to end game. ^^;
On another note, Kaden got ahead of our levels in SP >.> But at least he's leaving for 2 weeks to let us catch up, he's probably leaving because he is SO whipped by his GF. But meh. |

Today wasn't really a fun day or anything on XI, because of having to goto relatives for Turkey Day and all. So I didn't do much except farm for awhile and bring in some good dough, SP Did lvl for about 3k exp and lasted only about 30-40 minutes. But, I'm rather excited because of the strong possibilty of SL this weekend. We might also go and get my Warlock's Tights, (death) (Garlaige Citadel) (Do you need it?) Heh heh.
Did find out that Jellies are very good for farming. They drop slime oil at a very good drop rate which goes for about ~10k at AH. So I brought in a few stacks today, if nothing goes on tomorrow, I'll probably be doing that again too. |

| Mission 5-1 |

Like I said, me and two other friends were gonna put a PT together for this easy ass mission that we thought was going to be hard, but turned out to be easy. ^^ MNK and RNG 2hrs was very good to have lol. Took us around 4 minutes, easy, easy stuff. I wanna actually do it again ^^; We had 2PLD,1RDM ,1DRK,1RNG and 1MNK. Everything went smooth as butter and no one died. Now the next task: Go into the depths of Castle Zvhal Baileys and fight Shadow Lord himself~ Bogar knows what's gonna go down, as he's done it a few times before I think. So should be fairly easy like I've said before hehheheh.

So I decided to level Ranger today, started at 14, got to 15 almost 16. =\ And that was for a few hours of PTing. But we all know how the exp goes in the dunes -_^ Actually wasnt too bad, had a PLer and we were usually hittin for 190-240 chains, so really not complaining. 900 tnl btw. So tomorrow if I come home early from relatives, I should be 16 maybe 17. Can't wait to get back out of Dunes and on to Qufim.
I think maybe later tonight me and a friend are setting up a PT for Mission 5-1...ugh..56 almost 57 and I still havn't done it. Oh well, if things go right, saturday I should be rank 6. SP for RDM is going to do Shadow Lord, luckily we have someone with a 70BLM to help ^^ And he has connections, so shouldn't be too hard. We have plans to take on some HNM when we hit 60, just need some 70 tanks to tag along ^^; So yea, that'll be much fun, been wanting to do HNMs ever since I saw pictures the first time. |

I've been looking for a place to do a blogish type thing of my FFXI Adventures...And have tried several spaces...blogspace.com, moveabletype.org thanks to the hard work of a friend (sorry pala -.-) And I saw someone else doing their FFXI Adventures in LJ. And everyone knows how to use LJ. :D So I'll be keeping track and telling you of stuff I do on FFXI here. Stay tuned -.^ |
